Gifts of Spring

Flowers have significant meanings in many cultures and can even have messages associated with them! Our Cairns region flowers are even more special because they are unique to the tropics so come and craft some while you learn about your local flora at the Cairns Museum in Spring.

Make Your Mark

10:30–11:30am (Wed, Thurs, Fri)

Creating your own personal stamp has never been easier! Discover how different stamps are used all around us, how they are made, and make your own design with wax and special carving tools! Get ready to make your mark this Spring Holidays.

Could your artwork be the one displayed in the pride of place? Lucky winners will have their colouring in sheets framed and hung in the Kids Workshop Space for 2023 as well as a Cairns Museum Prize Pack!

Collect your sheet from Museum Reception and head to the Verandah to do your best work.

JCU 50 Treasures Revisited

Suitable for all ages!

A selection of 50 Treasures from James Cook University’s collection will be on display this winter holidays, so come in to see them and then have a go at creating your treasure at the TempX Kids Table to add to your personal treasure collection!
