Learn at the Cairns Museum

The Cairns Museum is focused on sharing engaging life stories and content that highlights the history of far north Queensland. We offer an environment where learning can occur through guided tours, storytelling, exciting visual displays and supplementary resources that promote reflection and enrich curious minds.

Learning Programs

Explore our school programs, all linked to the Australian Curriculum, and inspired by defining moments in local history and objects in our collection. We offer a range of programs suitable for excursions and group bookings, as well as school incursion programs such as Hire a Trunk.

Learning Resources

We have compiled a list of some of our favourite museums that offer a range of resources for little ones eager to learn and experience the wonder of the world. We also understand the value of hands-on learning and have developed a selection of at-home experiments focused on exploring the world of STEAM.
