As a public health precaution due to COVID-19 (coronavirus), Cairns Museum is temporarily closed to the public as of today, March 23.
The health and safety of Cairns Museum, staff and volunteers is a top priority. We are closely monitoring the coronavirus situation and maintain ongoing communication with local health officials and the State and Federal governments.
Due to the rapidly changing nature of the situation, we are not announcing a re-opening date at this time and will provide updates on a week-to-week basis on our website and social media channels.

The Museum is an All Person Access attraction.

The Cairns Museum is two blocks walk from Cairns Esplanade and the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal
