Become a volunteer at Cairns Museum!
We are seeking helpful and courteous people to become a part of our energetic and rewarding team environment.
In particular, we are looking for volunteers interested in contributing to Cairns Museum’s school trailer program and tour guiding – those interested must love working with children.
Come and share your passion for the paradise we live in and be involved in our region’s dynamic tourism community.
If you have the following skills, we would love to hear from you.
- Enjoy working with children
- Can follow directions and keep deliveries to time frames (but still be flexible if need be)
- Clear and effective communicator – can deliver appropriate information at a child’s level
- Willing to follow procedures and protocols of schools and deliver appropriate information
- Team player, enjoy working with others
- Able to learn from others and follow scripted information
- Able to help load and unload trailer
- Performance/ role playing skills (especially for early childhood visits)
